Dividend Tax Calculator

Dividends are taxed as the top slice of your income: salary and other income fill the bands first, and the dividends land on what is left. Enter both and see the 2026/27 tax, slice by slice, including the April 2026 rate rises.

£
Everything that is not a dividend: salary, rental profit, pension, interest. It fills the bands first.
£
Dividends outside an ISA. ISA dividends are tax free and do not count.

Dividends you keep

Your total income is above £100,000, so the personal allowance is tapering away: every £2 of extra income costs £1 of allowance. Between £100,000 and £125,140 the true marginal rate is far above the headline numbers, and worth planning around.

2026/27 rates, from 6 April 2026: £500 dividend allowance, then 10.75%, 35.75% and 39.35% by band. Income tax and National Insurance on the salary itself are not included. This is the arithmetic, not advice.

The workbook version shows every step of the computation and adds a planner: the tax at eight dividend levels on top of your salary, with the personal allowance taper recomputed at each one, so you can see where the next slice of dividend actually lands before you declare it.
